New Dramaturies is a NGO  founded in 2008 to support multiple theoretical, critical and artistic approaches to contemporary  performing arts. It initiates and organizes projects in education, theory and criticism in the field of theatre, dance and performance. The current website is one of its ongoing projects.

WHERE THE SECRET DOUBLE OF TIME LIVES

Within the frame of the Festival for Contemporary Dance and Performance Antistatic 2015 in Sofia (Bulgaria) the latest work of Laurie Young How is Now was presented. Laurie Young is a Berlin based Canadian choreographer and performer. She has been a long time member of the Sasha Waltz & guests company and has enjoyed working with Hanna Hegenscheidt, Nasser Martin Gousset, Meg Stuart, Eszter Salamon, Janet Cardiff and George Bures Miller among others. How is Now explores the diverse ways of experiencing time and the affect these different experiences produce on our body perceptions. Ani Vaseva writes about the performance.

Kathleen Doherty: We need to realize where we want to go

Kathleen Doherty is a dance artist from Ireland and she works in Dublin and Ljubljana. She graduated from The Northern School of Contemporary Dance. As a dance artist she works for Dance Theatre of Ireland, Ffin Dance (Wales), Irish Modern Dance Theatre. She also works as a rehearsal director in Threads Dance, London. In Sofia, she did in July 2013 a contemporary dance workshop аt Derida Dance Centre and presented her third solo work “Chasing Shadows” in the frame of the Centre’s residency programme. Art аs а Possible Exit, In and Within the World

At the end of September Sofia became the second city after Berlin where the temporary workspace of The Entropic Institute an initiative of one of the key figures of the contemporary dance scene in Germany - the art-duo Kattrin Deufert and Thomas Plischke, the artistwin - appeared to disappear. Combining features of a festival, an academic situation, a choreographic project and a durational performance, this “organized chaos” connected many geographical, temporal and conceptual dots within the city, creating an alive, beating event, greatly involving the audience. The people directly in charge for this artistic “mess” were: Galina Borissova (dancer and choreographer/ BG), Alain Franco ( composer/ G), Barbara Greiner (manager/ G), Boyan Manchev (philosopher, BG), Willy Prager (performer/ BG), Maya Stefanova (translator), Arnd Wesemann (dance critic, G) and of course - Deufert&Plischke themselves. Ina Doublekova met the artistwin to learn more about the overall concept of The Entropic Institute that takes place in different cities with a different content.
